Finding Pieces Of Marilyn Monroe Memorabilia

Marilyn Monroe was arguably one of the most iconic presences of American culture that has ever existed. Her status as a sex symbol blossomed during the 1950s and it has never really left. She is still one of the classic examples of sexuality and because of this, her image is still widely known across the world. Her films have grown into examples of classics and she still has a great number of fans. It is only natural, therefore, that a great deal of memorabilia revolves around her and that some of it is rather quite valuable. Items are still being produced with her classic image and they can help enhance anyone's celebrity collectibles.
One could begin their collection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia by collecting a number of prints of this classic actress. She posed for a number of photographs during her lifetime, from stills of her films to publicity photos. She looks glamorous in any of those photos and they would all look great hanging on a wall. If one managed to get their hands on one of the very rare autographed photos she left behind, the value would be indescribable. One of those would heavily increase the worth of any collection.
There are a number of magazine covers that she graced which one could collect as well as postcards or calendars. Her image is one which is not shy from public knowledge. Indeed, Marilyn Monroe can be found on everything from lighters to special timepiece clocks and light switch covers. One could easily turn an entire room into a shrine to Marilyn Monroe with only a little work. The amount of items produced which bear her image is a very large pool. Finding some of these items would not be difficult for any collector.
A great deal of items have been specially released to help commemorate Marilyn Monroe. A number of collector's edition sets have been released. Her image could be found on any series of collectible plates or portraits painted on the sides of half-dollar pieces. These are often made specially for collectors and as a result, the number of sets which have been produced are very limited, making them incredibly valuable from the beginning. There are a great many collections set up specifically like this, including a collection of wine bottles bearing her image. These specially bottled wines bear the image of Marilyn Monroe and, as only a limited amount were produced, these wine bottles sell for a great deal of money.
Marilyn Monroe provided the world with a great deal of light during her time on the planet and it is only natural that such a widespread amount of memorabilia is attributed to her. Some of this memorabilia is incredibly valuable while some of it was so mass produced that its value is low. The important thing to remember, though, is that memorabilia is not always about the price attached to the pieces. Celebrity collectibles are designed to help commemorate that celebrity and show devotion to them. Therefore, if any pieces of a Marilyn Monroe collection make a collector happy, then it is a worthwhile piece, no matter the price tag attached to the item.
